A PERFECT PAIRING - GLANBIA AND UCC TEAM UP
In line with our commitment to staff and developing a new generation of talent, Glanbia has announced a new partnership with UCC
Through the partnership, Glanbia will fund two scholarships for students of UCC’s MSc Food Business and Innovation, awarding two postgraduate scholarships annually for three years. The Glanbia scholars will focus on topics such as the challenges facing global food systems and the innovations that will help overcome them. One of these scholarships will be available to family members of Ireland-based Glanbia employees.
To apply for the scholarships, students must have applied for the MSc Food Business and Innovation, have received an offer and accepted a place on the programme. Applicants for the scholarships will participate in a selection process and shortlisted applicants will go forward to an interview. The judging panel will include Brian Phelan (CEO, Glanbia Nutritionals) as Glanbia’s representative along with a representative from UCC’s Department of Food Business and Development.
The MSc in Food Business and Innovation prepares students for a career in food business and the analysis of key sectoral issues and strategic management of the food industry. The curriculum reflects the global nature of the food industry and students will expand their knowledge of food and the consumer, innovation in food and the decision-making processes in companies that develop, brand, distribute and sell food products.
