CHEWING THE CUD WITH… TIFFANY COX

Each month, we put the spotlight on a Glanbia Ireland employee and for our March newsletter we get to know US-based Tiffany Cox

Tell us how long you have worked in Glanbia and a little about your role? I have been part of the Glanbia Ireland family since September 2019. My role is Integrated Digital Marketing Strategy Manager for Truly Grass Fed in North America. The core of my responsibilities revolve around brand continuity and leveraging digital/social media to guide consumers through the marketing funnel from awareness to advocacy.

Can you share some info on the GI team in the US and your main areas of focus? Within the TGF team, there are six of us based in the US currently, with responsibilities running the gamut from customer service and sales to category and market development. We are currently in the process of bringing on two new team members to support our positive momentum. I also want to make sure to mention our two team members based in Ireland, Nicola O’Connell and Nicola Banville. Both are instrumental in brand planning and new product development. We’re a small team but it is really exciting to see the great steps we have been taking to build a new natural dairy brand in North America.

What’s your favourite thing about working in Glanbia Ireland? Coming from a background working for various craft breweries across the US, the structure and planning here is such a breath of fresh air. It’s wonderful having so many internal resources for information and campaigns to serve as case studies.

What are you most proud of in your job? The results we’ve been able to yield through leveraging learnings across different digital platforms. By being flexible in strategy and adapting it to fit performance, we’ve been able to create stronger consumer engagement and overall business results. Outside of that, I love all of the amazing partnerships we’ve been able to forge – like our ongoing work with Catherine Fulvio and our new work with NPR’s (National Public Radio) Science Friday.

How do you describe GI to friends or family outside of work? I describe GI as a passionate family of brands elevating the heritage of Irish dairy, through technology and collaboration, to meet the needs of the modern marketplace.

What do you like to do in your spare time? During Covid, my spare time activities are much less exciting than normal. I have been reading, struggling with art history puzzles, FaceTiming with friends and streaming concerts/comedy specials to support artists I enjoy. When the weather is warmer, I spend a lot of time at the dog park with my chiweenie, Peanut.

What are you most looking forward to post Covid/lockdown? First and foremost seeing my family, they live across the county so it has been well over a year since we’ve been able to get together. Outside of that, I’m dying to have an in-person pint with friends – it’s a small piece of normalcy that I’ve really missed.
