What’s your favourite thing about working in GI?
The positive working environment is my favourite thing here. I truly believe we genuinely follow our core values which are embedded within GI’s culture. Also I love how the employees are kept engaged with various social activities like fat Fridays, step-up challenges and marathons.

What are you most proud of in your job?
I can proudly say here “MY TEAM”. GPS and Process Excellence Team are very supportive and engaging. This allows us to work better and have more fun with our ideas, tools and work assignments. We have different ice-breaker activities in our weekly team meetings which make them very interesting. Overall, I really look forward to work every day.

How do you describe GI to friends or family outside of work?
GI is the largest agri and dairy processing industry in Ireland with a strong positive culture and core values. Also, a company which truly helps to maintain your work life balance and makes your work rewarding.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy going out for a walk, run, or a hike in nature. Recently, I had time to explore new activities such as playing tennis and golf. Also, I love travelling and exploring different places. Being an animal lover, I try visiting dog shelters (PAWS Kilkenny) whenever possible to walk the dogs.

You recently celebrated Diwali with your family, can you tell us a little about this?
Diwali, also known as “Festival of Lights”, is one of the most celebrated Indian festivals. During it we light lamps, decorate our doorways and pray for good health, peace and wisdom. We light sparklers, fireworks, buy new clothes, eat delicious food and exchange gifts with friends and family.

What’s the first thing you’ll plan when all restrictions are lifted?
Firstly, I will plan a trip to India to meet my family. Being a travel lover, my next ambition is to do a European backpacking trip. Lastly, meet friends and enjoy a much needed social gathering where we can all have good craic.
